If I am to believe what others say I’ve always massaged and kneaded people around me, but it wasn’t until 2003-2004 that I did my basic training as a Massage Therapist at Axelsons Institute. Prior to that I had only completed various short courses on the subject. Right after Axelsons I started my business, in September 2004.
In the years since, I’ve attended quite a few courses, workshops and seminars. In 2009 I finished my training as Revoice Therapist, taught by Sirkka-Liisa Perkiö in Stockholm, and in May 2013 I graduated as Advanced Manual Therapist at the Institute of Orthopaedic Medicine in Gothenburg. My latest training was in 2017/18 for Lymph Massage at Axelsons Institute.
I learned qigong & tai chi through a private teacher in Gothenburg, and did further training with his teacher in Mallorca, Spain. Since the late 1990’s I’ve been teaching qigong. Usually I’ve had smaller groups, but I’ve also taught the occasional masterclass with a large number participants.
One of my biggest clients today is the Gothenburg Opera where I work with a lot of different types of professional groups – soloists, chorus singers, the dance company and more. I also visit another company on a weekly basis to massage their employees at their office. My studio is at Kronhusgatan 11 in the city center of Gothenburg, where I meet all kinds of people for treatment. These people all contribute to teaching me something new every day, and inspire me to want to learn more.
I am grateful for each and every one of you!
Ellen
